October. . .finally

The leafs are starting to drift down a couple at a time and I am starting to pull out the bins of autumn and Halloween decorations down to paw through them to see what I need for this year. My front lawn graveyard has grown, but it still needs a tombstone or two and a fog machine would be awesome. It is one of my favorite times of the year and I hope to celebrate it with at least two tales. One of the tales is nearly complete and I intend to start another this coming tuesday.

I also intend on working on the edits of chapter 8 of both 'Summer Training' and 'Double or Nothing' in prep for posting this month. Hopefully I will get to do some more writing on chapter 11 of 'Summer Training'. I hope you have enjoyed these two stories.

Realistically, I hope to try to get some writing done on "On French Soil' and 'Wrath' after the holidays. I have at least one Christmas tale to write as your Christmas gift from me and I want to get a few more chapters done for 'Summer Training' and 'Double Or Nothing'.

Take care and, as always, I look forward to any comments you might have.

Play safe,

Double Or Nothing Chapter 7 Sent Out

Chapter 7 of 'Double Or Nothing' has been sent out for posting on various different websites and you should be seeing it soon.

I am finishing up on one of the Halloween stories for this year and should have it done by the first of October. The second story is fermenting in my head and I should be starting it soon. Then, back to writing 'Summer Training' and more 'Double Or Nothing'.

Take care and play safe

Inspiration

Sometimes I run across something and think "I can use this in a story." It could be a word, a phrase, a lyric to a song or a picture. I found a picture the other day that just screams to have a thousand words attached to it. It came from my friend Robert Deane of bondagedamsels.com . Here is that picture. The double gag situation that Robert staged is perfect for any of my storylines or could fit a new story. Either way, I have to thank Robert for sharing it.

What I Did This Morning. . .

I have always strived not to be political on my blog, however, on this 10th anniversary of 9/11, I just wanted to say that after I woke up and got a few cobwebs out of my head, I spent a few moments remembering what I remembered about that day and what others have shared with me over the years. I will never forget those images and thoughts, but I will not dwell on them either. I have spent my few minutes in memoriam and now I am going to go about the business of life.

Take care and play safe.

Putting Me In The Mood. . .

So how do I get into the the 'right' mood to write? A good example is what I was doing this afternoon. I am writing the 'serious' Halloween story for this year and I needed something to help me get into the tense mood I need to set. I did this by pawing through my soundtrack collection and putting in a few appropriate scores. On of my favorite for this is a Christopher Young score for Haunted Summer. It sets just the right mood for the beginning of the story. Later, I will turn to a few dark scores like 'The Dark Half' and Midnight Syndicates "13th Hour" and "Vampyre".

I find that music sets the ambiance that I want and it is just plain easier to write.

Well, that's my tidbit for the day.

Take care and play safe.

Guess What. . .

Greetings,

I have finished chapter 10 of 'Double Or Nothing'. I a couple of hours marathon, chapter 10 blossomed and flourished. I can breathe a little easier knowing I have caught up to 'Summer Training'. Time line wise, 'Double' has not caught up but it should in the next couple of chapters. Now I can focus on getting chapter 7 of both stories edited and then dive into chapter 11 of 'Summer Training'.

I hope everyone has liked the stories so far. The dual storylines have been a challenge but a good one.

Halloween is coming up and I finally have an idea for my story this year. Yes, it will involve my favorite haunted house couple and a few friends. All I can say is that it was inspired by an old Bangles song.

Take care and play safe
