Consensual versus Non-consensual: An informal Poll

Which do you prefer reading, consensual or non-consensual stories? It it a matter of curiosity more than anything else but it will also help steer where my writngs head. If at all possible, please let me know the 'why' in your answer as well.

Non-consensual with okay to good endings between victim and aggressor. Because it needs more character or plot work to get to such an ending.

A well conceived amd written story matters more then con or non-con. That said, I probably lean towards reluctant and non-con, good or evil endings.

I really like the way you write your non-consensual stories. Wraith and Summer Project are two of my favorite stories, period.

Fesseln,
I prefer non-consensual. I believe it is far more exciting when there is a "victim" involved. Many of my fantasies revolve around nc incest, kidnapping, rape, etcetera. I am a 37 year old female who has only had opportunity to "play" and I find it difficult to "play" effectively and to achieve satisfaction, of any kind, when I already know the players and the outcome.

I love the stories where it starts out non consensual, but as the story and the characters progress, they become consensual. I also love stories where the dom eventually becomes a sub consensually - search for stories via captiv8td for some examples!

Definitely non-consensual is best but I hate crude force. Trickery, deception or a confluence of circumstances leaving no choice are better - anything that's subtle and surprising and isn't easily predicted by the reader. What i dislike is that so often the "victims" are easy targets because they're alone or weak. A female judge would be good ... like Judging Amy - someone intelligent and capable with no obvious weakness.

if the nc has a good ending as in Separate Vacation, then it is okay. However, rape is not okay for me due to past events. if the bottom is begging for the top to stop and he/she doesn't then it is a horriable story for me and i will quit reading it.

I like well-written, engaging stories of all sorts. Having said that, I prefer stories which are at least partially non-consensual (NOT IN REAL LIFE!) What I do not like are stories in which a woman being raped miraculously finds herself unable to resist the man's "charms".

if had to choose one, my personal preference is the nc category, but not too violent or serious. i love the summer project. my favorite, however, is gwendoline type reluctance, where the damsel is resistant but the consent is implicit. does that make sense? laura feline gibson has a great series of stories like that, where her heroines alternately get over on the other, although one usually spends more time on the losing end than the other...hardly anyone writes stories like that anymore. they are very hot with nc overtones, yet not too serious. hope this helps!

NC is by far the most interesting providing there is no hard sadism. I don't go for f/m but m/f and f/f are always a charge for me. Like your last person to comment I agree with all that's said. Summer Project is a winner and I am hungry for the next instalment.

gyrl opts for nonconsensual all the time, but not torture for torture's sake. if the female eventually comes to crave her enslavement, all the better. unfortunately, most stories never end, apparently because the author eventually cannot outdo his previous punishment or level of his slave's enslavement.

Well I love consentual! It is the best when the woman loves it, I love your creative writings, please keep them coming! X

i personally really enjoy non-consenual. they are more exciting and suspenseful.

Non-consensual are so great. I love the way the "victims" always eventually give in.

I prefer initial non-consent with subsequent, unavoidable enjoyment followed by almost addiction to the pleasure.

I usually prefer non-consensual and if it's well writen I see no problem with it progressing to consensual.

For my money, bondage is at its best when both parties are thoroughly enjoying themselves, so I'm definitely more partial to consensual scenes (and when non-consensual stories start to veer into the realm of rape and/or sheer brutality, it's a downright turn-off).

That said, as a writer, myself, I'm well aware that fiction revolves around tension, so it's awfully difficult to craft an interesting story where everyone is happy all the time. So, a well-crafted story with a reluctant submissive (like Summer Project) can be thoroughly enjoyable, but I definitely prefer stories that at least end with a loving, consensual relationship.

I too will throw my hat in the ring of comments. i find NC is fun and risky, adds to some of the flavor as the story develops. As long as things don't get crazy sadistic, the stories generally get a lot of attention. On the other hand, the way you had summer training turn consensual, with steph rising out of chaos into her step brothers arms, was a perfect example of such warm embraces.
All in all! I would still enjoy a taste of non consensual environments in a story. :P

I prefer non-consensual as long as it doesn't get too violent. I can't stand any torture or violence against the damsel.
